Zero-Sum Game
The buzzword comes from the fact that when two numbers which can cancel out each other are added, the sum is zero. In management / strategy lingo, it is used to refer to win-lose scenarios. For example, in distributive bargaining, zero-sum is the result, for if one party wins, the other one loses. If integrative bargaining is used instead, the sum or result can be greater than zero!
